Writer and humorist Daniel Wolf, a longtime observer of the many grave afflictions of modern society, believes that we are now in the midst of one of the craziest periods in human history. He regrets to say he is lacking in proposals for practical policy solutions to our many intractable problems. But taking a cue from the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates, who asserted that desperate times require desperate measures, Mr. Wolf suggests that crazy times require crazy advice. Claiming that “a distorted view of the world provides great clarity,” he offers Never Lose Sight of the Dark.

Daniel Wolf intends this collection of mostly contrarian counter-wisdom to serve as a modest antidote to the monumental, shockingly profitable, and generally unhelpful self-help industry. He also hopes to provide a strong dose of amusement. But is laughter truly the best medicine? The author’s answer is an unequivocal “YES!”

About the Author
Daniel Wolf was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He retired from the Philadelphia Public School system in June 2015, having taught English as a Second Language for twenty-four years, primarily at the elementary level. In addition, from 1983 to 1993, he lived and taught English in Japan, during which time he traveled extensively both in Japan and throughout Asia.
This is Mr. Wolf’s second book with GoToPublish. His first book, But is He Jewish? and Other Quirky Tales received glowing reviews by such publications as Hollywood Book Reviews, The US Review of Books, and New York Today.
