Dr. Basheer Ahmed is a retired psychiatrist and a social activist He was born in Hyderabad, India. He completed his undergraduate studies in India, Pakistan, and post graduate studies in Psychiatry in United Kingdom. He immigrated to the United States, where he enjoyed a long career as a psychiatrist, professor, medical director, public speaker, and author of books and articles on mental health issues and Islamic culture. After retiring from private practice, Dr. Ahmed has devoted his time to social service activities and interfaith understanding. He founded three organizations: Muslim community center for Human services, providing health and social services to indigent residents of Dallas-Fort Worth area, IQRA for peace an organization promoting Intra-Faith sectarian harmony and Institute of Medieval and post Medieval studies disseminating information about Muslim contribution to world civilization and inspiring young students to become scientists, As a psychiatrist, he has seen firsthand the ghastly toll gun violence, has taken physically and emotionally on patients as well as on the communities. This is what prompted him to write this booklet. He lives in Plano, Texas, with his wife, Shakila, a retired radiologist, and is the father of two practicing attorneys, his son Sameer and daughter Araj. -

They are also tracing historical philosophy back to its roots within the present perspective of the American Iraqi War. Camus is now a Christian Catholic, Jean-Paul Sartre, still, the committed Marxist Socialist is on the verge of a mental breakdown and ripe for religious conversion. The stage is set for a tragic ending, leaving Camus questioning his faith.About the Author
Jack Lynn Schauer graduated from the University of Jamestown, Jamestown, North Dakota in December of 1980. He has two Master’s degrees: one in the Liberal Arts as well as one in Nonprofit Management. His interests, in addition to history, politics, philosophy, and issues of social welfare focus upon the various levels of spiritual development as they relate to a postmodernist crisis of modern man in a world seemingly gone crazy. Jack Schauer is also President of Angels of the Muse which provides music to underserved populations within the Fargo-Moorhead area of North Dakota and Minnesota. -

About the Book
Sunset in the Morning is a tragic novel whose simplicity, rare imagery, idiom and accent carries the torch of modern African literature. In the novel Ndoda, a seasoned former liberation struggle fighter, is appointed to spearhead development in Uzumba. Initially he is a hero but the trappings of power transform him into a ruthless dictator who brooks no criticism.
Ndoda’s autocratic rule is, however, fiercely opposed by David Kaseke, a high school teacher and Rufaro, a law student who are both gruesomely tortured. The plot is filled with hair-raising scenes, brutality, injustice, suffering, patriotism and love which the reader must experience. The novel breathes truth and reality in our contemporary world in which the powerful trample on the powerless. In a final episode of chilling tragedy, Ndoda is found dead on his gold-plated mahogany bed, having been haunted by the ghost of a spirit medium he had previously ordered to be killed. His benevolent will, though, raises new hope for the people of Uzumba.About the Author
Ambrose Bruce Chimbganda was born in the north-east of Zimbabwe where he did his primary education and later went to Hartzell Secondary School near Mutare. After completing his “O” and “A” level through private studies, he joined the liberation struggle and later went to the University of Zambia where he obtained a B.A. Ed. with distinction. He later obtained a Post-graduate Diploma and an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Zimbabwe, an MSc in ELT Management with merit from Surrey University in the UK and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Rhodes University in South Africa. He is a Professor of English Language Education who has published many research articles on ESL learning and teaching, and is the winner of the 2007 Thomas Pringle Award of the English Academy of Southern Africa. His academic text, Information Processing Skills was published in 2010 followed by his poetry book, MY Pain, Your Pain which was published in 2018.
