A Faith-Based Journey in Poetry
Francisco J. Torres
About the Author
Francisco is the son of an immigrant Mexican farm boy who left his family and country to come to America to seek a new life in the land of possibilities, opportunity and hopefulness. In his sojourn, he met my mother, a young beautiful daughter of another immigrant, my grandfather, who was from Sicily. After eloping to get married, they made their home in the coal regions and steel mills, in a town known as Johnstown, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of western Pennsylvania. It was there that I grew up, with my three brothers and three sisters, amongst a melting pot of other families from all walks of life and nationalities. This rich flavor and blend of culture, traditions, and religions, from around the world, had a tremendous and endearing effect on me as I aged. I felt blessed to be alive in such a place that I called “home”. But, as life would have it, my blessings came to an end when I fell victim to a nervous breakdown, finding myself in such a state of depression with no way out. That is of course, until the Holy Spirit lifted me up out of my misery and once again enabled me to live a full life of hopefulness and peace. This book is dedicated to the Holy Spirit for all He has done for me and continues to inspire me to this very day!!! -
Freed Indeed Christian Poetry
The Life and Rhymes of Gary Alan Rothhaar
Gary Alan Rothhaar
“This collection of Christian poetry is unique in that it spans a wide variety of subject matter. Some poems are serious and have powerful messages to impact. Others are light-hearted and humorous. Some are interesting stories with surprise endings.
Many are based on true stories that could have happened to anyone. They are cleverly constructed and uniquely entertaining.
The author’s rock-solid faith in Jesus Christ is consistently apparent in all of his work. Without the saving power of Jesus, none of these poems would exist. They are all inspired by the love, and wisdom of God, and Gary is instant to give all of the glory to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The author would like to thank all who have supported and encouraged him to bring this collection together for publication, and he prays that these poems will have a positive impact on all who read them.

SEEQUEST
Roger Pytlewski
About the Book
This book is a collage of seescapes and insights into the many facets of life. It is warmly dedicated to the genius and memory of Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, the most intelligent and aware ‘Hueman’ animal to roam the planet to date. I affectionately think of him as ‘Big Brain the Heartistic Huemanataurean’ No one has left larger imprints on the vapor trails of the Hyperborean Highways. -

What’s Behind the Words?
Ron Lemco
About the Book
So, you are looking at the back cover. I thank you for that. It is the first step for me selling you a book.I have my work cut out for me as I am an unknown writer who has published 3 novels and a book, and other than selling friends and family, and about 500 people I do not know, I have not been very successful. I am told by people who read my books that they enjoy what they have read.
What’s Behind the Words is a novel mixed with my life stories and poems that coincide with the story just told. Here is a synopsis of what the book is about.
Born in the Bronx on August 16, 1948, the book fast forwards to 1957. I had no clue that a world outside of the Bronx existed. I had yet to see a live cow, I had never been anywhere other than Orchard beach with my three brothers and mom and dad. I see my years in the Bronx as fun years, and I write of the humor as my eyes display my growing up. But it is my life recorded in 30 journals that the book is about.
Running away from the Bronx at age 12 with a Bronx tough kid attitude and a seventh-grade education, my life as follows is spending 4 years in a traveling carnival and living as a gypsy and learning the lifestyle and the con games that come with the experience. My first wife dies, and I end up raising my 2 year old baby boy.
Married the third of five marriages and living with a girl other than my wife, we rob a bank and get caught and sent to prison for forty years. It turns out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. I married my fourth wife while I am doing time.
I must end this as a back cover, as it can only be so long. I survive prison with my degree from high school and an AA college degree, and learning the most valuable lesson in life… the value of freedom.
I marry for the fifth time, and 41 years and five kids later, I am writing this most unorganized back cover.
The book is full of humor, learning, poetry of life, and just a fun read. Thanks.

Now you can read about His life in an illustrated and poetic form that touches on many of the important aspects of His life. Parents will want to share this story with their children and with their friends.About the Author
Adrian Hurtado was born in Berkeley, CA., and raised in the East Bay area. He is a retired educator, serving as both teacher and principal. He also served in the Marine Corps. and the Air Force Reserve, retiring at the rank of Major. He has always enjoyed writing stories that children and youth can read, or that adults can read to them. He and his wife Jean, have retired to the little beach town of Cayucos, CA., where he is actively involved with his church and in community service. -
I Can Do This
Laura Mae Murphy
About the Book
This book, these Stories, were intended to be used by anyone who has the ability to help these individuals fit in wherever they go. If teachers could use these stories to introduce the problem and possibly the solution to the students prior to the introduction of the student with special needs or problems, there wouldn’t be so much apathy in the world. In using animals instead of names, there is no chance of anyone misunderstanding and transferring any of these topics onto anyone specific.
I’ve tried to cover as many issues as I could: communication, deafness, blindness, birth defects, epilepsy, amputees, etc. But the most important goal is acceptance. There could be role playing (i.e., someone could be the cow or the beaver or the iguana). Interaction could play an important role in getting the message across.
About the Author
Laura Mae (Lewis, Murphy) was born in Philadelphia as number two of nine children. She and her family moved twenty-three times in seventeen years, and she often went to three schools a year. Each move brought challenges, trying to catch up academically while trying to fit in socially.Deafness runs in her family and she is raising a mentally challenged daughter, Dawn Rene, who has right temporal lobe epilepsy and is bipolar. At forty-five, she functions at a 4.6 level but her biggest handicap is that she looks normal and everyone expects her to be normal. She becomes flustered and sometimes doesn’t understand why they don’t understand.
