The Story Of A Man
Marvin A. Hayes
About the Book
The Story Of A Man is a collection of poems that express emotions of love, pain, laughter, wisdom and self-reflection. Poetry has always been a passion of mine and it later became the avenue to express the memory of the comings and goings of my existence. This is the reason why I chose the title, “”The Story Of A Man.”” Many of the poems were written during my years in undergrad. My college years came and went; however years later I contemplated publishing them. It was then I decided to begin the journey to publish the story of my life. When thinking about the book cover and what I wanted to express to the reader, I chose to use my drawing of Muhammad Ali. Ali is one of my favourite hero’s and a poet himself. In fact the first poem in the book is about Muhammad Ali, a man with an amazing story of struggle and triumph. I selected his picture in hope of attracting the attention of readers who understand each person has an individual story. Just like Ali we all too may experience struggles, pain, and triumph. This book also includes photos that show that my life has been very full.
The photos in the book include pictures of my wife of 50yrs. Mrs. Geraldine Elaine Robinson Hayes, and our legacy which includes my two older children and our five children which makes for 30 grandchildren. I hope that each reader enjoys the poems and pictures and it encourages them to embrace the story of their own life.

Thanks Be To God: A Minister’s Memoir
Larry LaPierre
About the Book
The author is a retired United Methodist minister and a former Department of Veterans Affairs Chief Chaplain. He writes about a series of people to whom he owes a debt of gratitude for the difference that they made in his life. When asked how he got to be a minister after working in laboratories for eighteen years, he responds, “It’s a long story but the short version of it is that I had a twenty-one year argument with God.” Most people pause and then say, “And God won.” Yes, God won! The book describes how God worked through many people to equip him to face changes in denomination, career path and education. The book originates with a desire to thank the people who helped him to make the changes that God called him to make. This, in turn, began with a decision by the United Methodist Church conference where he holds membership to limit retiring pastors to no more than a three minute talk at their retirement ceremony. He decided that there were far too many people to thank to even begin to try in a three minute speech. This book is the result of his desire to thank those who helped him as he struggled to become the person God needed him to be at each stage in his life.
About the Author
The author is a retired United Methodist minister who pastored a number of small churches in northern New England. He was also a chaplain at the Veterans Hospital in Vermont for twelve years. He is board certified as a chaplain (retired) by the Association of Professional Chaplains. He had also been board certified as a chaplain by the National Association of VA Chaplains. Chaplain LaPierre holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry, master’s degrees in counseling and in divinity as well as a Doctor of Ministry degree. He is the author of over sixty articles and essays. He continues to lead worship and preach for pastors who are on away. He also continues to write articles concerning pastoral care and spirituality. He lives with his wife of forty three years in San Jose, CA.

The Art of Norma Forss Portraits
George Forss
About the Book
There are three things I want you to know about my mother, Norma Forss:
1. She was always an uninhibited non-conformist.
2. She was always having fun in her life.
3. She had a magical charm about her like no one I have known. She had a charm that is very much like her photography.I would say that all three of these traits are due to a great natural spirit of self-assurance she possessed. Self assurance is a great facility to have in our living experience but it can be fraught with danger while it lasts. Somehow, it seems as though a person who is so free from conformity is going to get into trouble all the time. Borrowing another slang phrase from my mother’s time, you could say this pet chant phrase …
You’re gonna get yours!About the Author
George Forss is an acclaimed photographer who has had his day in court already, so to speak. You can say this, but I am also preoccupied with a special phenomenon that has inspired theologians and philosophers and has spawned millions of religions – as well as debates – through the ages. In fact, I have been doing this even before I was discovered for my photography. I am exploring Spirituality and Existence to this day. I have been doing this, on and off, for more than 35 years. I have much acclaim for my photography so I can live with a degree of freedom. I am exploring the spirituality of my mother in this book. I am very fortunate. I am glad I can to do this book and thankful for all the people I have come to know. I was living in NYC when renowned photographer David Douglas Duncan discovered me in 1980. Duncan produced a book of my photos called: New York New York: Masterworks of a Street Peddler. My trademark is my black and white photography, which has been shown in some of the most prestigious galleries and museums. I have been featured in major publications and I have been the subject of two documentaries. In 2009 I self-published my book ENOS Prayers and Rewards of Mercy after Enos / The Innocuous Science-Strategy of GOD in Life. 730 pages. You can tell by this title and length of this book that I am serious about the subject at hand. It has been said that I have a unique and fascinating submission, which provides the reader with the author’s insightful perspectives and offerings of alternative wisdom regarding a myriad of theoretical and universal questions and quandaries. In 2014 I self published a picture book with anecdotes about my years in NYC when I was active as a street peddler selling black and white photos in New York City. I invented this. I was the first one ever to sell personal photography this way. My book is entitled The Way We Were This book is about my pictures of NYC that made me famous taken in the period of 1972 to 1988. I garnered a good Kirkus Review for this book. I have four more unpublished homespun religious books. I am currently working on a new book entitled The Religion of ENOS / A compilation of the religious ideas found in my five adroitly playful series books of ENOS. Search my name,\ George Forss. Also – Forssblog – Facebook/ George Forss and my NYC gallery to find out more. About the Author
If I saw this book entitled My Casino Lover and read the inside flap or the back of the book and it was interesting enough, then yes, I would buy this book. I’ve been writing for a while but never did anything with this book until lately. I’ve just been putting it on the back burner along with the other one that I’m writing.
My goal or vision for this book/movie is to see it become a number one best seller in the book market and a number one box-office-hit movie. Because Rachael finally finds the love of her life a third time around after almost giving up somewhat on men, she then stumbles on love one more time.

Family Ties
Thicker Than Blood
B.G. Howard
About the Book
Willie LeBeaux finds his way to the mean streets of the city that never sleeps. While in the process of running from his past, he encounters what could be a more troubling future…if he can survive the present.“”It seemed like so long ago and so far away from home down in South Georgia. I had only been in New York a few years, but it felt like an eternity since coming to the Big Apple, chasing dreams of stardom and life on easy street. Ironically, it’s not until you arrive in the city that never sleeps when you realize your chances at stardom rank right up there with the odds you’ll hit the lottery. There’s no street named ‘Easy’ anywhere in this country; at least, not for a poor man with a tenth-grade education who can only boast a doctorate from ‘Thug University.’ I remembered the last words my father spoke to me as I left for the bus station. ‘Yaain’t worth a damn now, and ya ain’t nev’r gone be worth a damn ‘til da day dem folk throws dirt in ya face.'””

He set out on a personal journey to bring every one of these men before the bar, to answer for the blood they had shed, and the innocent lives they had destroyed. When he does, hell will be in his right hand in the form of a Colt 45. This is the story from the start to finish at the legend of the broken badge.
