The Story Of A Man
Marvin A. Hayes
About the Book
The Story Of A Man is a collection of poems that express emotions of love, pain, laughter, wisdom and self-reflection. Poetry has always been a passion of mine and it later became the avenue to express the memory of the comings and goings of my existence. This is the reason why I chose the title, “”The Story Of A Man.”” Many of the poems were written during my years in undergrad. My college years came and went; however years later I contemplated publishing them. It was then I decided to begin the journey to publish the story of my life. When thinking about the book cover and what I wanted to express to the reader, I chose to use my drawing of Muhammad Ali. Ali is one of my favourite hero’s and a poet himself. In fact the first poem in the book is about Muhammad Ali, a man with an amazing story of struggle and triumph. I selected his picture in hope of attracting the attention of readers who understand each person has an individual story. Just like Ali we all too may experience struggles, pain, and triumph. This book also includes photos that show that my life has been very full.
The photos in the book include pictures of my wife of 50yrs. Mrs. Geraldine Elaine Robinson Hayes, and our legacy which includes my two older children and our five children which makes for 30 grandchildren. I hope that each reader enjoys the poems and pictures and it encourages them to embrace the story of their own life.

The Secret of Life: Development of the Spiritual Consciousness
Sorocaima Salerno
About the Book
In this work, the concept of the spiritual search as an internal and individual experience is excellently reflected, without impositions or fundamentalism, from the first page to the last. The author expresses himself with great clarity, demonstrates extensive knowledge of the spiritual principles that he exposes, and manages to develop each topic in an organized and comprehensible way. He seeks to precisely convey and transmit these principles, in a way that captivates the reader. Sorocaima Salerno has been a student of the world’s Mystics for more than 50 years. The premature and tragic loss of loved ones deeply impacted his youth and launched him into a profound search for the meaning of the human experience that laid the foundation for this book. For thousands of years, religious teachings around the world have indoctrinated the belief in a God separate from us, watching and ruling from above, who does not exist. It is these misconceptions about God that are the cause of all the problems and misfortunes that human beings face every day. He challenges these notions using the core universal principles of the Mystics, from Jesus Christ to Gautama Buddha, emphasizing the common threads between their teachings and illustrating practical ways to apply them to develop our own spiritual awareness. The Secret of Life, as the title suggests, is showing us the door that must be opened to experience our eternity in harmony and Truth, and handing us the key to liberate ourselves. This book will give you not only an answer to the mysteries of human life but also the solution. “You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free” (John 8:32)About the Author
Sorocaima believes helping others to develop their spiritual sense is one’s highest calling; the most important service one can give and receive. He currently resides in California, dedicated to his family, his export trading company, and his tireless endeavors to sow the Truth in the consciences of all those who seek it. Alien’s Extraterrestrial’s
"A history of Revelations plus Where do they come from? Why are they here?"
Frank Morin
About the Author
My book is an informative and interesting collection of questions that are asked by more and more people concerning aliens, extraterrestrials, and all the entities that humans call gods. In antiquity, humans called any entity with superior knowledge or abilities a god. In the present time, humans also call aliens and extraterrestrials gods. In my book I discuss and explain why there are aliens and why there are extraterrestrials. I explain where they come from and why they are here. I discuss topics that people have questions about but have no explanation as to why the events are happening. I also briefly discuss two other topics in my book. I discuss the fact that humans are extraterrestrials, and I also explore the phenomena of animal mutilations. I bet a lot of people don’t realize that humans are extraterrestrials. I believe that when you finish reading this book and you seriously ponder the material, one word will come to mind: wow!About the Author
My name is Frank Morin and I am sixty-nine years old. I grew up in Texas and Nebraska. I always did well in school and when I graduated from high school I joined the United States Navy. I spent twenty years in the navy, as well as completed an AA in Automotive Science, a BBA in Computer Information Systems, an MBA in Telecommunications, and a Management Certificate in Environmental and Hazardous Waste management. -
Epistemic Standpoints
Theological and Sociological
M. D. Litonjua
About the Book
Pilate asked “What is truth?” We too struggle with the question and we search for an answer. Correspondence theory told us that we grasp with our external senses objective reality, and the truth lies in the correspondence of the mind to external objective reality. The problem is that, except for basic mathematical equations, this explanation does not account for the diversity of opinions, the conflict of ideas, and the clash of ideologies. This does not include, of course, outright lies, denial of facts, manipulation of data, the malice of fake news.
We do not see things with the naked eye as they are. We see them from a certain perspective, from a specific point of view. A tree is not simply a tree. A tree provides restful shade to a weary traveler. It is useful lumber for the logger. It yields oxygen for a polluted atmosphere in the eyes of an environmentalist. It is an inspiration for a poem by Joyce Kilmer. In other words, it is foundationally a matter of, using a philosophical word, one’s epistemology. It involves one’s interests and concerns, it depends on what one considers important in life, the meaning he searches for in society and the world, how one conceives what life should be. We see, appreciate, judge from an epistemic standpoint.
The acknowledgement of different epistemic standpoints is the basis for dialogue, for the respectful discussion of differences of opinion, for the legitimate clash of ideologies. The acceptance of multiple standpoints is also the foundation for cooperation in spite of differences, for the search of common solutions to common problems, and for solidarity for the common good.About the Author
“M. D. Litonjua is emeritus professor of sociology at the Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, OH. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Brown University, an M.B.A. from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and Licentiates in Philosophy and Theology from the University of Santo Tomas (Manila). -
Bad Dreams of a Hungry Dog
Poems of Spiritual Odyssey and A Quest For Enlightenment
Jere Truer
About the Book
My poetry book, Bad Dreams of Hungry Dogs, is my meditation on my spiritual journey and my dialogue with the divine. As a poet, I see my job as one who stands in the midst of the world and reports what he experiences from the point of view of the soul. And so these poems are my soul reactions and responses to outer events in the world in which we live, and also my responses to my own yearnings and questions. Sometimes my responses are angry and confrontive, and sometimes they are beatitudes of grace.
Like most people these days as I face the challenges of life, my attitude is more spiritual than religious per se. And yet I do delve deeply into religious traditions of which I have partaken and honored. My relationship with God is personal and intimate. And like all relationships, it is comforting, discomforting, challenging, and often baffling.
The title refers to a remark said to me years ago, “The search for enlightenment is like the bad dream of a hungry dog.” Hungry dogs whimper and nudge. They whine and pant. They desperately seek something out of privation. Such is our plight as humans in relation to the divine.About the Author
Jere Truer is a poet who has published widely in various journals in Canada and the U.S. He has given many poetry reading and also participated in writing labs and group performances. Jere considered a career in the ministry when young and has pursued a study of spiritual and metaphysical matters most of his life. He has a previous book of poems, “The Art of Dying”, Austin Macauley Publishers, in which he works through his grief regarding the death of his wife Tamara from breast cancer.
In both his spiritual pursuit and his professional work, Jere has sought ways to bring deep healing for often traumatic wounds. In this current book of poems, he converses with God in very intimate and sometimes confrontive ways. Jere’s own beliefs respect the Abrahamic tradition, as well as Buddhist and Asian thought, trying weave together a conversation wherein all faith is, if not the same, a seeking for goodness, grace, and peace.
As in his previous book, the issues raised are universal and express thoughts and feelings that lie hidden in the human heart. He lives in Arizona but grew up and had a private psychotherapy practice in Minneapolis. For the past fifteen years, he has been on the faculty of Adler Graduate School. He has several grown children and grandchildren. His other loves include composing music and collecting instruments from around the world. He is also a gifted storyteller, accompanying himself with a hand drum and telling ancient folk tales. -

The Xa’igoi Saga: Novel Two
The Last of the Lionhearted
Jonathan D. Wilson
About the Book
“In the nightly sky burns a star afire, and the two moons overhead eerily remain veiled in darkness, while the third moon reigns from the heavens–dipped in the color of blood. Such an ominous sky heralds the coming birth of the last Xa’igoi. The world is changing forever, and from the ancient citadel of Amturis, chaos comes. Uundethar the Sorcerer seeks forbidden answers from his past. But that is not all that he seeks. What he learns and plots unleashes events that will bring doom for countless thousands, threatening realms, and perhaps bringing an end to all things.
In the far west, King Midga, once a mighty ruler now under tyrannical vassalage, finds himself outnumbered and forced into attempting to withstand Uundethar and his horde of unholy abominations, who have descended out of nothingness upon his realm’s unprepared lands.
Finding himself unaided by his oppressive, overlord king, Midga must then choose between the survival of his small kingdom and the life of his newly born child.
Stout champions stand beside Midga ready to die, if it means the survival of the prophesied infant. But at what cost? Among such so-called defenders is a man who holds secrets to his own identity. Is he one who might possess the power to save the realm and the king’s child, or will he bring doom to them all? Is this man loyal or disloyal to the cause, or will treachery and betrayal, altogether different, strike elsewhere from the shadows?
If the peoples of Kirgin and the infant’s courageous champions are to ensure the fulfilment of the Prophecy and the survival of Lacreena, the Kingdom of Kirgin must withstand Uundethar’s might and protect Midga’s only child at all cost. If they fail and the child is killed, the Omen Curse will finally arise to its fulfillment, and Uundethar will rule over Lacreena unopposed, and the world shall burn and fall into oblivion.
It is a tale of masquerades and treachery, plots and deceits, of identities hidden and of others revealed, where the loyalties of some are sworn to secrecy, while others are questioned. It is a fight for survival, of mighty heroes of old, and the last of the lionhearted.”
