About the Author
Yvan Kaprielian was born and raised in Paris, France with an Armenian Heritage and moved to the United States in 1988. After graduating High School in 1991, with a privilege of having a father in the business, Yvan decided to venture into the Diamond and Jewelry Industry. He grasped the opportunity to learn and capture the secrets of the trade. At the age of 17 he started selling diamonds, engagement and anniversary jewelry, colored gemstones, and fine watches. He seized every moment to examine and study every diamond that was in his sight. Reading gem books, trade publications and taking courses on diamonds became routine. In 1993, he completed his first Diamond Course from GIA, Gemological Institute of America. This was the inception of the destined relationship between Yvan and diamonds.
His desire to acquire more knowledge on diamonds increasing dramatically. In 1994, Yvan decided to leave the retail world and open a factory in the heart of the Diamond District in New York City. This lead to excelling in designing, diamond setting, all aspects of bench work, polishing and diamond/gemstone wholesaling. Whilst developing the art of jewelry manufacturing he discovered his innate talent and true passion – Diamonds. Yvan’s theory was that there is a story behind every piece of jewelry, especially with diamonds. He realized that wearing jewelry is a form of art that expresses each individual’s personality. He thrives when he matches a magnificent piece of jewelry with someone, as a new story is born.
After earring his Graduate Gemology degree from GIA, he asked himself: “Could there be more to diamonds than just a financial and social status symbol? What if there was a story before the story?”. That’s when obsession started knocking on the door of his mind. He started digging deeper and deeper in the mine of his Soul searching for answers and seeking to understand. The day he was ready and truly decided to open this door there stood a teacher. A teacher named Master Choa Kok Sui. He became his guiding light in the obscure and lonely path of self-discovery. Devotion, purification, meditation, self-study and helping others became the new routine.
As his questions were answered, new questions arose. Today, after twenty-six years in the diamond industry and sixteen years of self-discovery, self-analysis, inner reflection and meditation Yvan came to the conclusion that there definitely is an undeniable parallel between diamonds and humans. Since this discovery, fueled by his new passion, Yvan’s mission is to share this realization, this message with the world. -

The Lost Child of WWII
My Life during the Great War
Leonida Clarete-Watson
About the Book
Let me take you back to the earliest of childhood memory that I have of my father. Growing up in the province of Pampanga just outside the city of Porac, we didn’t have a lot of money. We lived in a small village just south of the province in a small hut. Like many families back then we made do with what we had and struggled just to get by like everyone else at that time. My father was in the Philippine Army and he would be gone for weeks at a time, sometimes months at a time. But I always knew when he returned home because I would awake to a bunch of grapes on my pillow. I would smile as I awoke and whisper, “Daddy’s Home.”About the Author
My name is Leonida, but people just call me Nida. I grew up in the Philippines during the great war of my time. I had a loving father who adored me. He was my protector and teacher. He was my rock, my hero, my father. He made me feel safe and he shaped me into the person I am today. Without his love and teachings of what is right, I strongly believe that I would not have what I have today. I may be overstating him a bit. My last memory of him was when I was only four years old, yet even at that young of an age, he captivated my imagination with his stories. I remember walking with him when I was even younger. I guess my earliest of memories was from when I was as young as two years old. He was my inspiration and my hope, and he was taken from me when I was just four years old. I watched with tears in my eyes as he was killed at the hands of the Japanese for safeguarding some Americans by hiding them in a cave. I will never forget his last words to me. “Be strong, Nida, I love you.” -

Journey To Inner Healing
Abidah Chiera
About the Book
I remember it like it was just yesterday. A life-experience this traumatizing was very hard to forget. My name is Ciera, and this is my story. It all started when I woke up one sunny morning with an odd feeling. I couldn’t put my finger on what it was, but I knew I was going back to my hometown, and my clinical rotation was finishing today. I got ready and put my scrubs on just like every other day. Work was the same, which got me thinking about how routine my life had become. I had lately been convincing myself that I was perfectly happy with the solitude I had been blessed with. But I had never admitted that deep down, I sometimes craved companionship. I believed God had a plan and the situation I was in and everything that I was feeling then was all a part of His plan. -
It’s About Time
Renee Bobson
About the Book
A true story about my life from birth until now, however I am calling it fictional. (To protect the guilty)It tells the story of Renee, her ancestors and her family. Renee lived through the trauma of family dysfunction, sexual and physical abuse and political turmoil. She remembers the assassination of JFK, MLK, and the uprising of the Black Panthers. Similarly, her great, great grandmother remembers the assassination of Lincoln and the Civil war. Was there dysfunction throughout time with all of her ancestors?
Renee lived through separate water fountains, separate counters and back of busses. Her great great grandmother lived through slavery and unimaginable trauma. There is sorrow, laughter and triumph.
This is only the beginning of a 3-book series. Book 1 starts with Renee as a baby and ends with her entering the military.
Book 2 will end with Renee’s Divorce and 911.
Book 3 will end with retirement and COVID. There will be many instances of comparisons to lives of ancestors. This will be a fascinating series, book one is eye opening. Books 2 and 3 will be no less shocking.
“It’s About Time”. There is nothing new under the sun.”
About the Author
Renee is a black woman, born in the 1950s during segregation in a small suburb. She did well in school, and was always a writer. She went into the military at the age of 18, she then married and had 2 children, however that’s book 2.
She moved and worked for State universities, she survived COVID and more political unrest but that’s book 3. -

Edafos
Divine Wind
Howard O.A. Jones
About the Book
Cardia, one of the many continents in the realm of Edafos, has remained relatively peaceful after 300 Years of War, a war to conquer the land started by the god-like beings called Divines. Through unimaginable pain and suffering, peace had been achieved, though for only a little more than a century. Now as corrupt Kings and religious struggles arise, one boy rebels. He forges his way across the land, coming at odds with many trials. Will he and his band of friends change the fate of Edafos, or will they simply follow the path that was laid out for them?About the Author
Since I could first form crude pencil marks into words, I has always found myself to be a story teller. Initially it was a hobby, and I only intended to keep it that way. My initial aspirations were of game design, and I kept my writings as a way to chronicle my ideas for the stories of games I would later try to produce. Despite being an avid reader, as time went on I came to value the narrative capabilities of different media and how they change the way a story can be told. -
I Can Do This
Laura Mae Murphy
About the Book
This book, these Stories, were intended to be used by anyone who has the ability to help these individuals fit in wherever they go. If teachers could use these stories to introduce the problem and possibly the solution to the students prior to the introduction of the student with special needs or problems, there wouldn’t be so much apathy in the world. In using animals instead of names, there is no chance of anyone misunderstanding and transferring any of these topics onto anyone specific.
I’ve tried to cover as many issues as I could: communication, deafness, blindness, birth defects, epilepsy, amputees, etc. But the most important goal is acceptance. There could be role playing (i.e., someone could be the cow or the beaver or the iguana). Interaction could play an important role in getting the message across.
About the Author
Laura Mae (Lewis, Murphy) was born in Philadelphia as number two of nine children. She and her family moved twenty-three times in seventeen years, and she often went to three schools a year. Each move brought challenges, trying to catch up academically while trying to fit in socially.Deafness runs in her family and she is raising a mentally challenged daughter, Dawn Rene, who has right temporal lobe epilepsy and is bipolar. At forty-five, she functions at a 4.6 level but her biggest handicap is that she looks normal and everyone expects her to be normal. She becomes flustered and sometimes doesn’t understand why they don’t understand.
