The Story Of A Man
Marvin A. Hayes
About the Book
The Story Of A Man is a collection of poems that express emotions of love, pain, laughter, wisdom and self-reflection. Poetry has always been a passion of mine and it later became the avenue to express the memory of the comings and goings of my existence. This is the reason why I chose the title, “”The Story Of A Man.”” Many of the poems were written during my years in undergrad. My college years came and went; however years later I contemplated publishing them. It was then I decided to begin the journey to publish the story of my life. When thinking about the book cover and what I wanted to express to the reader, I chose to use my drawing of Muhammad Ali. Ali is one of my favourite hero’s and a poet himself. In fact the first poem in the book is about Muhammad Ali, a man with an amazing story of struggle and triumph. I selected his picture in hope of attracting the attention of readers who understand each person has an individual story. Just like Ali we all too may experience struggles, pain, and triumph. This book also includes photos that show that my life has been very full.
The photos in the book include pictures of my wife of 50yrs. Mrs. Geraldine Elaine Robinson Hayes, and our legacy which includes my two older children and our five children which makes for 30 grandchildren. I hope that each reader enjoys the poems and pictures and it encourages them to embrace the story of their own life.

About the Author
On Wednesday, January 16th, 1929, my dad, who was pastor of a local church in the city of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, had scheduled a workday at the church. As he was getting ready to leave the house on this frozen, icy day, he picked up his hammer and headed to the door of our house, when my mom said in a tone not usually heard in her voice, “You’re not going to work at the church today, our baby is coming!”My brother who had heard the conversation exclaimed, “that’s just another egg”. He was responsible for taking care of the chickens our family relied on for breakfast and other meals.
Our family moved often, because of his ministry, and I attended eight different schools. I graduated from Isaac Litton High School on one night and married W. C. Langford, from Jackson, Tennessee, the next. I met my future husband at a District Council in Milan, Tennessee as I played the piano for my dad who was District Superintendent. I was at the ripe old age of sixteen. I travelled over the entire state of Tennessee. I committed to myself that I would never marry a preacher.
God had a different plan.

Through the Woods
Martha Lee
About the Book
Hattie Ambrose, a solitary woman artist and the main character in Through the Woods, is searching for an enduring relationship based on trust and mutual respect. She desires a life-enhancing union filled with passion, creativity and adventure. She strives for a meaningful life and work but is constantly confronting loneliness, self-doubt, disappointment and despair. She envisions her life as one of achievement, simplicity and purpose. Her unusual degree of determination propels her forward toward artistic, professional and romantic fulfillment. A recurrent source of tension in the story reverberates between her search for the one great love of her life, embodied in the painter Rex Dravus, and her art, with her all along, that she ultimately realizes may be the greatest passion she will ever know. Her insight, wisdom, patience, and hard won self-knowledge help her to reluctantly acknowledge the man who has loved her passionately throughout their stormy relationship might not be the one with whom she will stay. Throughout the novel Hattie evolves through various stages as she sheds conventional physical, emotional, and artistic restrictions to live her life on her own terms. Yearning to unburden herself of personal and social constraints, she works to unleash the natural, instinctive, free spirit that resides within her. Little by little she struggles to transcend the cumbersome limitations as she moves toward becoming a free, untamable, unique, and arrestingly whole woman. In order to fully develop her artistic vision and follow her creative destiny, she must remain undeterred by any obstacles. She realizes that this includes all personal relationships, at least for the present, especially the demanding one in which she is currently involved. Finally she reaches the painful decision to pursue the fulfillment of her dreams on her own and stay on her charted course. She is alone again with her Art. Her salvation is in knowing that it will always be there to sustain her.

The Art of Norma Forss Portraits
George Forss
About the Book
There are three things I want you to know about my mother, Norma Forss:
1. She was always an uninhibited non-conformist.
2. She was always having fun in her life.
3. She had a magical charm about her like no one I have known. She had a charm that is very much like her photography.I would say that all three of these traits are due to a great natural spirit of self-assurance she possessed. Self assurance is a great facility to have in our living experience but it can be fraught with danger while it lasts. Somehow, it seems as though a person who is so free from conformity is going to get into trouble all the time. Borrowing another slang phrase from my mother’s time, you could say this pet chant phrase …
You’re gonna get yours!About the Author
George Forss is an acclaimed photographer who has had his day in court already, so to speak. You can say this, but I am also preoccupied with a special phenomenon that has inspired theologians and philosophers and has spawned millions of religions – as well as debates – through the ages. In fact, I have been doing this even before I was discovered for my photography. I am exploring Spirituality and Existence to this day. I have been doing this, on and off, for more than 35 years. I have much acclaim for my photography so I can live with a degree of freedom. I am exploring the spirituality of my mother in this book. I am very fortunate. I am glad I can to do this book and thankful for all the people I have come to know. I was living in NYC when renowned photographer David Douglas Duncan discovered me in 1980. Duncan produced a book of my photos called: New York New York: Masterworks of a Street Peddler. My trademark is my black and white photography, which has been shown in some of the most prestigious galleries and museums. I have been featured in major publications and I have been the subject of two documentaries. In 2009 I self-published my book ENOS Prayers and Rewards of Mercy after Enos / The Innocuous Science-Strategy of GOD in Life. 730 pages. You can tell by this title and length of this book that I am serious about the subject at hand. It has been said that I have a unique and fascinating submission, which provides the reader with the author’s insightful perspectives and offerings of alternative wisdom regarding a myriad of theoretical and universal questions and quandaries. In 2014 I self published a picture book with anecdotes about my years in NYC when I was active as a street peddler selling black and white photos in New York City. I invented this. I was the first one ever to sell personal photography this way. My book is entitled The Way We Were This book is about my pictures of NYC that made me famous taken in the period of 1972 to 1988. I garnered a good Kirkus Review for this book. I have four more unpublished homespun religious books. I am currently working on a new book entitled The Religion of ENOS / A compilation of the religious ideas found in my five adroitly playful series books of ENOS. Search my name,\ George Forss. Also – Forssblog – Facebook/ George Forss and my NYC gallery to find out more. Orders and queries: 518 538 9938 and www.fineartamerica. com A disk or a memory stick of my mother’s photography is available for $39.
