The Story Of A Man
Marvin A. Hayes
About the Book
The Story Of A Man is a collection of poems that express emotions of love, pain, laughter, wisdom and self-reflection. Poetry has always been a passion of mine and it later became the avenue to express the memory of the comings and goings of my existence. This is the reason why I chose the title, “”The Story Of A Man.”” Many of the poems were written during my years in undergrad. My college years came and went; however years later I contemplated publishing them. It was then I decided to begin the journey to publish the story of my life. When thinking about the book cover and what I wanted to express to the reader, I chose to use my drawing of Muhammad Ali. Ali is one of my favourite hero’s and a poet himself. In fact the first poem in the book is about Muhammad Ali, a man with an amazing story of struggle and triumph. I selected his picture in hope of attracting the attention of readers who understand each person has an individual story. Just like Ali we all too may experience struggles, pain, and triumph. This book also includes photos that show that my life has been very full.
The photos in the book include pictures of my wife of 50yrs. Mrs. Geraldine Elaine Robinson Hayes, and our legacy which includes my two older children and our five children which makes for 30 grandchildren. I hope that each reader enjoys the poems and pictures and it encourages them to embrace the story of their own life.

See, Think, Make Art
Peter Moak
About the Book
This book describes a visual approach to art. I stands in contrast to the current linguistic approach. It is about looking at art rather than reading about art. Looking at hundreds of works of art from the whole history of art demonstrates that every work of art needs to be seen in a particular way, the way it was seen when it was made. We do not see the world directly. We see pictures of the world in our head. These are ten basic ways for looking at art based on the ways we look at the pictures in our head. These ten ways applied to works of art from Stone Age to the present reveal neglected masterpieces, famous works misidentified and how the misunderstood work of certain famous artist should be seen.
About the Author
I have been an art historian for forty five years. I have a Master’s degree from New York University and a Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. I taught briefly at Villanova University and the University of Hampshire, but most of my life has been devoted to understanding the visual order that underlies a work of art. In addition to working in libraries, I travelled extensively here and in Europe to see works first hand. Now that my travelling days are over due to age and health I am concentrating on writing about what I have learned and discovered. I want to pass this information on to future generations and hopefully to inspire other to see art as it was made to be seen. To see The Parthenon, the works of Michelangelo, Cézanne, Matisse and Picasso as they were made to be seen is very much worth the effort.

A Patriot’s Letters To AMERICA
Daniel Harmeson
About the Book
The essence of America that which really unites us, is not ethnicity, or nationality, or religion. It is an idea, and what an idea it is- that you can come from humble circumstances and do great things. That it doesn’t matter where you come from but where you are going.
Condoleeza Rice
“Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country”.
John F. KennedyThese letters to America represent one side of the coin. Belief in small government. Belief in the 8,928 words of the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and its 27 Amendments. Belief in the Right to pursue happiness. Belief in not relying on big government. Belief in freedoms/ liberties. Belief in America. Hopefully by reading these letters one will begin to, understand a differing value and the great love of this Republic. Or, reinforce that you are not alone in your beliefs. Through understanding, compromise, critical thinking and ownership for our actions, just maybe the great divide can begin to close.
About the Author
Dan is a retired 27 year veteran of the US Navy. Married to a loving wife, Zeny, for 39 years. Has two wonderful children and 4 loving grandchildren. His great love and gratitude to this Republic has inspired him to write letters to America.

The Story Teller
Darryl Hester
About the Book
His poetry is based on reality and life’s every day experiences. His words capture the tone and feelings in which we all express, but sometimes are afraid to speak.About the Author
Darryl Hester, born in Oxford, North Carolina in early 1964. He has been acknowledged as one of the few gifted new poets and short story tellers of the Century, His poetry is based on reality and life’s every day experiences. His words capture the tone and feelings in which we all express, but sometimes are afraid to speak. Darryl grew up in Oxford North Carolina across the fields, from the first black “Negroe Orphanage” that was established in 1819. There as a child he played with orphan children, often getting in trouble for being on the grounds. Darryl had a heart of gold never judging anyone for their misfortune. While living in a southern rural community in Granville County. Darryl at an early young age experienced the discrimination of negroes and southern riots. The desegregation of all white schools. Where his sisters experienced the results of Roe V Wade Congressional decision.
Darryl later moved to Camden, NJ with his mother in attempt to escape Jim Crow and the unfair racial bias and discrimination of the south. It was their where he learned to defend his southern roots among the young city slickers. Darryl Later would graduate from Camden High School. He was accepted to
Embry- Riddle Aeronautical University where he planned to study Aviation and engineering. It was within one blink of an eye, that his life and goals would change. Darryl made an important decision to immediately leave the streets of his urban environment. This was a decision he knew he would regret, but a decision that had to be made without hesitation. This would save his life.
Darryl then joined the United States Army. He served in the Air Defense Artillery Division. He was based throughout the United states. His tour of duty began in El Paso Texas, White Sands New Mexico and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He later was based in Europe, where he toured, Germany, Greece, Switzerland and Morocco. It was after his visit to Brandenburg Gates, that Darryl realized that he had stories to tell the world. While at the Czech Border within the Soviet Union, Darryl experienced the communist and political rules, in which he was not permitted to speak, make gestures, nor look at soviet soldiers. If done so, it would have been perceived as a hostile act.
Darryl was later honorably discharged from the United States Army. He later continued to excel in life. He became a member of the United States Postal Service. Where he was later appointed to the position of United States Postmaster. Now Honorable Darryl Hester would go on to make history as the first African American ever to be appointed postmaster in the history of Salem County New Jersey.
